In the upcoming weeks, the St. Charles and St. John's Social Justice and Peace Commission will be sharing "Pay it Forward" bags for those interested in offering an alternative means to support those on the street. These sample bags, filled with a few non-perishable items, could be kept in your car to share as another way to recognize and show compassion to these individuals in need. Please keep a lookout for these sample bags at the church entrances.

This weekend we celebrate the Feast of Corpus Christi in a very special way. We are invited to consecrate ourselves to the Eucharist by praying a particular prayer at the end of Mass. What better way to devote ourselves in the Eucharist than on the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ?
We also welcome our guests from the Foundation for Children in Need. FCN serves the poor in the villages of India and sponsors 1500 children and college students for their education and 100 elderly for safe and peaceful living. It’s Holy Trinity Sunday this weekend, where we celebrate the mystery of one God in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. As we make the Sign of the Cross, may we remember we are held in that union of love and called to share it with others.
